What Makes Our School Unique?

Bellevue Middle School is an International Baccalaureate World School which sets in the beautiful hills surrounding the community of Bellevue in western Davidson County. The school is the academic home to 713 fifth through eighth graders. The school is committed to supporting student success in academics, athletics, and co-curricular competitions as well as the arts, music, drama and community service.  Bellevue is among the top five performing middle schools in the district as measured by our students' academic performance on standardized tests.

Bellevue Middle School is one of the first five schools in Tennessee to receive authorization from the International Baccalaureate Programme.  We offer advanced academics and high school credit classes for students who qualify.  We are also one of the technology demonstration schools in MNPS hosting seven computer labs, classrooms with state of the art technology, a computer technology education class, and a technologically advanced library with 30 Dell computers.

Bellevue administers the following assessments to students to determine student growth and understanding:  Think Link testing in reading and math three times per year, Orchard testing in math twice per year, District reading, writing, and math assessments, and a summative evaluation known as TCAP (Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program).

We offer band and/or strings for the musically inclined and visual arts for our aspiring artists.  Student athletes may participate in football, basketball, soccer, track, volleyball, wrestling, and cheerleading.
