Women's Health Screenings High Risk Women Screenings - History of heart, diabetes, or cancer in the family. Men's Health Screenings
Annual Physicals are covered under the Certificated Employee Medical Plan. $15 co-pay with the balance paid in full. Have doctor code it as “Well Care”
Weight Loss
The Daily Plate - Portion Control Helpful Hint: Shop the perimeter of your supermarket. Meat, Dairy, Produce, Bakery Stay away from the processed foods in the interior.
Eat 5 one half cup servings of fruits and vegetables every day.
Health professional recommend aiming for a weight loss of 1 to 2 pounds per week by keeping active when you are cutting back on calories. Pushing your body into starvation is counterproductive.
Walk an extra mile a day and you will lose 1 pound per month. Cut your calories by 500 a day and you will lose 4 pounds per month. Combine them and that is 5 pounds per month.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – FREE FOR ALL EMPLOYEES
All MNPS Employees have access to the EAP as a part of employment.
The MNPS EAP provides counseling through counselors in private practice in their offices. You may call the EAP for a list and make your own appointment, or have the EAP do that for you.
Counseling sessions can continue until the issue is resolved, or until the issue needs to be referred to treatment other than counseling through a medical plan.
The EAP is designed to provide counseling and other support services to employees and everyone in their household, or in their wallet.
