MNPS Students and Faculty Shine on Stage

MNPS Students and Faculty Shine on Stage
Sunday, April 27, Antioch High’s choir took the stage with the Concert Choral of Nashville in a special performance at St. Henry Catholic Church. The show was very well received and according to Kay Thiele, MNPS Library Media Specialist and member of the Concert Choral, "the Antioch group did a wonderful job."

While the students were the featured group of the night, several MNPS employees are members of the Concert Choral. They include: Delicia Egerton, choral director at Meigs Magnet;
Marsha Brewer, music teacher at Chadwell Elementary; and Kay Thiel, "singing" librarian at Ewing Park Middle.

Last fall all Metro high schools were invited to perform with the Chorale. Antioch won the bid based on numerous letters from choral students, the choir director and the principal. The two choirs had been rehearsing together since January to prepare for the show.
