All students in Mr. Artibee's history classes will participate in National History Day.  Attached are details of how to create and present a project for the NHD competition.

Students must choose a topic which can fit into the theme Conflict and Compromise in History. Topics for your research can be taken from local, national, or world history.

Once the topic is selected and approved by the instructor, students must begin investigating historical context, historical significance, and the topic's relationship to the theme by conducting research in libraries, archives and museums, through oral history interviews, and by visiting historic sites.

You topic may be how a great invention created a triumph--the discovery of the Salk Vaccine that was effective against polio, or how an invention created a tragedy--the development of nuclear weapons, for example (although nukes may fit in both the triumph and tragedy columns).
