Invest in Your Child Benefits MLK

The annual MLK Invest in Your Child campaign solicits pledges starting in August. This is the PTSA's only fundraiser, and it plays a vital role in the activities of the school. We have had great support -- in the past, fundraising goals have been surpassed by several thousand dollars. As a result, a number of projects are supported by your generous donations.

As you walk around the school, you can find many examples of where your money has gone. Items paid for in whole or part by the Invest program in the past have included: the new lighted outdoor sign on the front corner of the building, the ceiling in the hallway as you walk in, the PA system in the auditorium, tables in the art room, an electron microscope in room 308, chairs for performances by our various bands and orchestras, computers and reference books in the library, software and experiments for the engineering department, and floor mats and anatomical models for athletics and health. PTSA funds even help the counselors travel to colleges and universities to get information and build relationships for MLK students applying to college.
